Pretty Cool, Eh? Air Canada Offering Direct Service to Vancouver from Brisbane

Air CanadaNorth America Awaits. Can't stand the thought of flying from Australia to the west coast of Canada via multiple transit destinations along the way? Always wanted to see the picturesque Canadian Rockies but the flights are always too inconvenient to bother?

Well, with Air Canada now flying from Brisbane to Vancouver direct, minus any frustrating stopovers, there's no excuses anymore and your dream getaway to beautiful North America is on the horizon.

Air Canada adds even more convenience and simplicity

Whether you are flying from Brisbane to Vancouver, or vice versa, the new direct route introduced by Air Canada has got the travel world buzzing.

International flights can be stressful, especially when you are departing from a busy international airport within Australia, such as Melbourne or Sydney.

Brisbane's compact, easy-to-navigate counterpart welcomed direct routes to Vancouver back in June 2016, removing the need to transit through other Aussie airports and taking you directly to the capital of the province of British Columbia in approximately 15 hours.

Simply board your flight with ease in the Queensland capital and relax onboard. The next time you disembark, you'll be stepping foot into your big Canadian adventure - or your Aussie one!

Air Canada has also given considerable thought to their flight times, choosing the most convenient fly-in and fly-out times to avoid impeding travellers' plans.

Flights depart Brisbane at 10:40 am daily and arrive in beautiful Vancouver at just after 7 am the same day. Flights depart Vancouver at 11:45 pm and arrive at 7:15 am into sunny Brisbane two days later.

The Brisbane - Vancouver Air Canada fleet

Air Canada has brought out the big guns in anticipation of the popularity of their new direct route. Their Boeing 787-8 fleet has been chosen to undertake the task, and with 251 seats on board, there's more than enough space for everyone keen to take this simplified route.

For your journey across the Pacific, you'll be travelling in the comfort of a plane with a three-class layout, appealing to any budget or travel need.

The 'executive pods' in business class, complete with flat beds and cosy duvets, are the ultimate in luxury, while premium economy comes complete with plush reclining seats and state-of-the-art 11-inch touchscreens - to name just a few perks.

Economy passengers won't miss out, though, with extra legroom and new technology only solidifying Air Canada as a leader in their game.

What this means for Aussie tourism

Part of the reason behind the route introduction was to counteract the boom in Canadians visiting sunny Queensland - 6 per cent each year in fact - so not only do they have even more reason to visit our friendly shores, but we have equally as many reasons to visit theirs.

The move is expected to bring around 90,000 Canadian tourists to our Great Southern Land annually, and Brisbane is the ideal place to start!

With the new Air Canada direct route from Brisbane-Vancouver, it's a hop, skip and a jump to the snowfields of ever-popular Whistler or the beaches of Queensland.
