Do Asia with P&O Cruises

beautiful islands with clear water and boatP&O Cruises have been covering the South Pacific and New Zealand for the past few years, but as their fleet increases from three to five, and on to seven by 2019, P&O need to expand their global destination map. It is because of this that P&O have decided to officially expand into Asia.

Asia P&O

While Asia has unofficially been a part of P&O’s repertoire for a long time, most of their ships only head there for dry dock maintenance. That being said, recently their cruise ships have embraced Asia, coming up with exciting new travel plans that require customers to travel to their ship via plane.
In July 2016, two of P&O’s newest ships in the Pacific Eden stable set sail on their maiden voyages from Singapore, from which they then went on to sail to seven different Asian ports.
These included Sabang in Indonesia, Langkawi in Malaysia and Krabi and Phuket in Thailand. On the Eden’s second sailing, the ship then travelled to Cambodia where it docked at the port of Sihanoukville, before heading to the Koh Samui and Ko Chang ports in Thailand.
The ship then made its way back to Australia, docking in Queensland’s Cairns – the first time Cairns has acted as a home port.

2017 and Beyond

In 2017, P&O Cruises has got more exciting adventures in Asia for its customers. The Eden has returned to Singapore for a second voyage around Asia, offering cabins to customers from $899 dollars for two round trip sailings.
The Eden departs on 15th July 2017 and the first voyage will take travellers to Koh Samui, Laem Chabang (the closest port to Bangkok), Ko Chang, and Sihanoukville. The second voyage will take you to Phuket and Sabang, Krabi and Langkawi, for the same price as the first voyage.
However, if you have the spare time and money, you can combine the two voyages into one voyage and visit all of the destinations.
This 14-night cruise will cost $1,649 per person.
That being said, the attraction of a cruise is not just the luxury sailing to picturesque ports, P&O have outdone themselves when it comes to eye opening shore excursions on these Asian voyages.

Cambodia and others

In Cambodia, travellers can kayak through a picturesque national park, visit Chang Island and see its breath-taking waterfalls, explore the Buddhist Tiger Temple in Thailand, take a relaxing day cruise to a geopark, or if you just want a relaxing time in the sun, you can enjoy some peaceful beach time or snorkel on some of the most beautiful islands in Asia.
If you’ve been thinking of booking a cruise, 2017 is the best time to do so and explore some of the most beautiful parts of Asia.
